This was my thesis project for my senior year at RISD. Unfortunately, I spent all semester making this wooden stop motion puppet, and didn’t try to do any animating until the night before my presentation. I thought that clip was lost, but I recently discovered it. The puppet at this point no longer exists but it is so fun to see this little clip again. This was my first attempt at stop mo, and knowing what I know now… it is truly a miracle that I managed to get even this for my presentation. The puppet was supposed to be part of the dream of a sorrowful piano whose player had passed away. The piano was dreaming it come come alive to play a duet with him once more.
