This year, I would like to begin a project I have long dreamt of: I’d like to buy a piece of land and build a handmade home. I went to Sweden this July, home of my ancestors. Most importantly, I visited Carl and Karin Larrson’s family home in Sundborn… it was one of the most significant days of my life. I toured the home, took a row boat out on the river, and sat in their garden for 5 hours at least, sketching this place that was been eternally etched into my memory.

Coming home from that trip, I have been sketching and planning ever since. I’ve been nervous to share my sketches, but they’ve evolved now. I’m starting to model a 1/2” version.. and someday soon, I hope to share that I will begin construction on the full sized version. Dream of Dreams.. we’ll see what happens this fall.
